As a stipulation of our lease, residents are required to maintain liability insurance ($100,000) to cover any damage to the landlord's property during the lease term. You have two options to fulfill this requirement:
Option 1: Acquire Renter's Insurance and furnish proof of coverage.
Option 2: Opt for automatic enrollment in our Resident Liability Insurance Program. The program will entail a monthly premium combined with your rent payment. The coverage provided by our program meets the minimum lease requirements, encompassing your legal liability for property damage to the landlord's premises (including fire, smoke, explosion, water discharge, or sewer backup) up to $100,000, along with coverage for window and door damage irrespective of the cause. It's important to note that this policy does not extend to personal belongings against all potential perils, nor does it encompass additional living expenses or liability arising from bodily injury or property damage to third parties. Should you necessitate any of these coverages, we recommend reaching out to an insurance agent or provider of your choice to secure a Renter's Insurance (HO-4) Policy.
